Karen Liebreich
Karen Liebreich has a history doctorate from Cambridge University and a research diploma from the European University Institute in Florence. She has worked as a cultural assistant for the French Institute in London, and has been a television documentary researcher and producer for the BBC and The History Channel. The Last Exodus won the Critics' Gold Medal at the New York Film Festival.

She founded, and subsequently sold her own successful business, the Baby Directory.

She has managed to put a book on what seems like nearly every shelf of the library - business, sports, infant care, children’s stories, history, paedophilia and memoir (see The Letter in the Bottle, Fallen Order, and other earlier books) – which could reveal a ‘Jack-of-all-trades’ syndrome, or an interest in many different kinds of shelving.

The next book will be a gardening book, to be published by Frances Lincoln in 2009, sparked by her experience of running a seventeenth century kitchen garden (www.kitchengarden.org.uk).

Meanwhile, there are more shelves to fill...
